Bubonic Press
Bringing you comics on an infrequent schedule since 1994!
Bubonix (1994-1998)
Bubonix
is a black-and-white,
photocopied mini-comic that was published by Bubonic Press
between January 1994 and September 1998. In total, 27 issues were published, along with a
"prologue" issue and three compilation issues. The contents vary between one-page strips
and multi-issue story arcs. Much of its inspiration came from Canadian pop culture,
including numerous references to ice hockey and Louis Riel. Issue #1 gave us the Bubonic Press
slogan: "Inside jokes, obscure references, sophomoric humour and mediocre artwork, all in
an affordable comic book format." This online archive offers over 500 comic pages for your
reading enjoyment.
The Crown Prince (2005-2007)
The Crown Prince
is Bubonic Press'
first foray into the world of webcomics. The strip was launched
on September 1, 2005 and is updated on a weekly basis. Follow the wacky adventures of a King and Queen as they face their most dangerous challenge: a baby!
